Staying Optimistic
It seems like in today's society you're surrounded by more negativity than anything else. I know more people then I can count on my hands and feet that expect the worst before seeking the positive. I think that in this day and age you have to force yourself to be optimistic when it should be a natural feeling. You shouldn't be surprised when you receive great customer service or if someone keeps the door open for you. I take pride in knowing that I try to stay with a brighter outlook than most that surround me. I don't ever want to lose that hope that people have a good heart and have the best intentions in mind. I want to stay surprised when someone's noble nature is shadowed. Some would say that it's a set up for failure but I would rather keep the hope I have that there definitely wonderful people in this world than be clouded with the idea that everything is a set up for disaster. (That's a bit dramatic) I hope you understand what I mean. Instead of wasting time worrying about the what-if's or what someone might NOT do, focus on the best things that are presented to you on your invisible silver platter. The fact that you have a loving partner in life, the children that bring you joy, the career you obtain, or even the fact you opened your eyes to one more day. Always believing that someone is going "let you down" is unnecessary stress that the soul shouldn't carry. Get to the point where you aren't bothered by the negativity around you, get to the point where you smile because you're not contributing to it.
