Foodie!

Now that Nicolas is older, it's fun to be able to give him more of a variety of foods to eat during the day.
He loves waffles for breakfast, as well as oatmeal (and not the baby cereal the grown up stuff)
One day when I picked up Nicolas from daycare aka my Aunt's house, she had made mini halloween cupcakes for us. I figured that since I do not condone sweets for Nicolas at all, EVER, once in a greeeeaaaaattt while is ok. Needless to say he went to town on his mini. Then when the third one was left, I tried to tell Nicolas we should save it for daddy since he was on his way home, but Nicolas did not like that.
Back to food...he loves trying new things. For example, he could not get enough of this pickle.
For this picture the dinner menu was Grandma Grandma's red beef enchiladas (they're kind of famous) with my sister's spanish rice and pinto beans with a couple of delicious black olives. Boy, did he gobble that up! (Who wouldn't?)
Nicolas' birthday lunch consisted of hamburger, potato salad, cheese, pickles, goldfish crackers and strawberries. Great lunch for the birthday boy! And then of course he ate his cake.
In my previous blog I stated how it was bittersweet that my boy was getting older, in the case of what he can eat now, I am excited with every new food I give him to try. Of course I stay within the guidelines of what he still is supposed to and not supposed to have but watching his face as he tastes the food for the first time and then chomps it down with his almost million teeth. The best part is when he has a look of satisfaction on his face letting me know he thinking "YESS MOM I WANT MORE!!"
