Check-up

Yesterday was Nicolas' one year check up. Now that he's bigger and more curious of his surroundings, getting him to lay on the exam table is not as easy as it was when we were at his three month check up. Luckily I brought a couple toys to keep him from getting into things that he doesn't need to be getting into.

He loved the crinkle sound the table paper made..

At one year old, our boy is a whopping 27 pounds and 33 inches tall! The appointment lasted all of 5 minutes with the doctor, he looked in his eyes, ears, and mouth. He checked his heartbeat, then looked at me and said "You have one healthy boy!" (Music to this Momma's ears!) He did have to get two shots, one in each chunky thigh. A few tears later along with a cracker, you'd never know he just got shots.

The funny part was after we got home, and he noticed the band aids on his legs while I was changing his diaper. He pulled both off and was running around the house waving them in the air like flags.
