I always smile when I think of..

all the times I would shop at Safeway before Ryan and I were married because I would purposely enter in his phone number for his club card just so the cashier would say while handing me my receipt, "Thanks for shopping with us Mrs. Petersen." I would without a doubt walk out giddy like a school girl. I guess it was my way of doodling his last name on my binder with "hopes" we would get married one day. (Yes, I did this even before we became engaged, but that's only because I KNEW with all my being that I would be his wife someday.)

My husband and I are coming up on our two year wedding anniversary on January 2nd, and I still get the smileys when I hear someone call me Mrs. Petersen, when Ryan introduces me as "his wife", when I say that I'm married, or refer to him as my husband. Some people may say that we're still in the "honeymoon" stage having only reached our two year mark but in reality we've been together for about 6 years, so I think we've gone through a whole lot together. Honeymooners or not, I never want to lose that giddy feeling being married gives me.
