Tuesday was Nicolas' first trip to the dentist. I had this precious thought in my mind that he would be on his best behavior and totally understand that we were there for his teeth to be examined. I pictured he would sit nicely on my lap and immediately want to become friends with dentist and want to show off how perfectly he has grown his 16 teeth! NOPE! Although it went as good as I could have only hoped in all reality. We got there with ten minutes to spare (go figure) so I started on the new patient paperwork while Nicolas sat so sweetly in the chair next to me while he drew on his magnet board. (I actually couldn't help admiring him because he looked so sweet and like such a grown boy). Then the nice front desk lady turned on Dr. Seuss for him to enjoy. Once we were called back we sat in the exam chair and the assistant (I have no idea why) turned on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim cartoons. (super inappropriate but thank goodness the dentist came in shortly after!) Right then, it was instant, Nicolas wiped his smile off his face and glued his lips shut! I tried to help out and pry his mouth open but sure enough baby bit me! Oh well I guess we'll have to go back once I can sort of explain to (bribe) Nicolas how to cooperate.

This is hilarious. Well at least I know now not to waste my time at the dentist yet.
