a few of my "must haves"

I thought I'd share a few things I just couldn't do without..

first is my eco-friendly cup :) i love this thing! i take it to work, use it all the time at home and even fill it up with water when i'm on the go running errands to stay in the car. i find that i keep more hydrated if i'm drinking out of a straw, so this really helps. (pictured is my delicious homemade iced coffee-to dye for!)

these days i'm not doing much with my hair considering it's at a super awkward length to where i really have the itch to cut it short but hesitate because i dream of having long locks again someday..anyway i hardly ever straighten, curl, or even style it and just use these two products to put the waves back in my hair even though ten out of ten times my hair ends up in an up-do by mid-day.

previous to these two companions, i was using SkinID for my facial needs but i felt like my skin was ALWAYS dry and even starting to peel, which is super unattractive. so a friend of mine suggested i use baby wipes to take my makeup off and after trying it out for the past week, i've really come to find it leaving my face with a fresh feeling. i'm all about easy and simple steps and if you know anything about SkinID, you know it's not simple or easy. there were all these steps and i had to use like 4 or 5 different products before i was done, granted it cleared my skin but also left me with not so great feeling skin. that being said, i picked up some Target brand (because if I'm going to buy store brand, Target's is the only one i trust) facial scrub. so far so good. I haven't had any real break outs to cause complaints.

i collect a few things like decorative wall crosses, magnets from different places, and nail polish! I have a lot of them to say the least. I'm almost at a salon status and i love each and every color. I love painting my nails and makes me feel really girly. I had mentioned in my 11 things blog that I have a habit of looking at people's nails and how well they are kept so I have an addiction to keeping mine well groomed with or without polish. (but I try to have polish on as often as possible) color does not matter according to your outfit, i believe. if you match, cool. but it you don't, oh well, as long as they look nice.

another few things that make me feel super girly are 1. earrings. i love them. i prefer studs as oppose to dangling just because at work i answer a lot of phone calls and dangling earrings aren't all that comfortable when you have a phone held to your ear. that and i think it's a simple, classy touch. 2. hair accessories. i love those too. i just recently started this obsession and it's kind of died down with my lack of hair motivation but i want to change that really soon. i think, along with the perfect set of earrings you can really doll up any outfit with these two items. (the pearl/diamond earrings i wore when i got married so they are really special to me, also because pearl is my birthstone and soon to be my daughters' also!)

these two t-shirts do not belong to me. they are my husband's that i have adopted. he never gets to wear them as work shirts or even lounge around shirts becuse as soon as they go through the laundry they get put in my drawer as my nighttime shirts. they are so comfortable, i don't see myself giving them back anytime soon, sorry darling. and especially now that my belly is ever growing, i'm always wearing one or the other to bed.

i'm one of those particular people that have a whole schedule of things before they go to sleep. OCD almost. here it is. i have to have a glass of water on my nightstand (most nights the only drink i take is right before bed when i take my vitamin). my phone has to be plugged in right next to my water with my nature sounds app playing rain sounds (i cannot fall asleep to silence, i'd be up all night). as dumb or silly as it sounds my husband has to tuck me in and turn off the light. i lay down in whatever position is comfortable (usually on either of my sides) he puts over me my crochet blanket that my grandma made for me when i was a little girl (so i guess you could say i never grew out of my security blanket) and of course because i'm pregnant by body pillow helps with comfort. then he puts our bed spread cover over me and then i'm able to go to sleep. do i wake up hot? yes but in all honesty i'm more comfortable that way, i cannot fall asleep cold.

hope you enjoyed some of my corky must haves..
