The million dollar question..

My single friends usually are the ones to ask me this question, but yesterday, my mom did. Not sure why but I was happy to answer.

"How did you know Ryan was THE ONE?"

Well...if you haven't read Our Story, you can check that out here.

Here is what my response was...

Was there a defining moment when the light bulb turned on? NO. It was moreless the feeling I got when I first met him and every time after. Do I believe in love at first sight? NO. What I mean is, when I was with him I felt excited, wonderful, confident, loved, cherished, comfortable. (I still do) I think the second you have a crush, (for a girl) you want to be with that person ALL THE TIME. So we spent a lot of time together and it never got old. We never got bored with each other. It's almost as if from the second we met, there was a strong "pull" for us to be together. I had to be with him.

Once we became "exclusive" we were literally together every day. We couldn't get get enough of each other.

Once we "fell in love" we of course starting thinking and talking long term. And to be honest, I didn't want to picture what life would be like without him. We had spent 4 years together and knew that it wasn't enough. A lifetime together would be more suitable. We still feel (obviously) a very strong "pull" for each other.

I guess the real answer was..

I loved him..

And I just knew.

When you know, you know. PERIOD.

He would be my forever and I would be his eternity.

  1. That's really sweet I always wondered the same. I didn't grow up with examples of love so when it came time for it I didn't have the best judgement and now that I'm freeing myself from a bad relationship it's nice to see what love should look like!. Thanks
