Backpack backpack

So every morning on our way to daycare, Nicolas and I drive by an elementary school. It is so cute to see all the little tots scurrying to get to school. As cute as they may be, I am in no hurry for Nicolas to be of age for me to start thinking about his first day of kindergarten. Of course as the months go by and he comes into his own being it is such a joy to watch and learn of his personality. I'm excited to teach him and I'm excited for him to learn but I do want to try to live in the present day and continue to keep him a baby for as long as I can. That however has become a challenge now that I am expecting only because I am so anxious for my little girl to join our family but I know that'll mean my baby number one will be even older by the time she arrives. So for now I want to cherish every second of his beginning toddler years because I know it will go by quicker than a flash of lightening! (he has a small backpack of his own that I use when we go on short outings that he now likes for me to put on him. When that day comes, he'll be one stinking cute kindergartener!)
