My Valentine..(link up)

how perfect with valentine's day coming up...i'd thought i'd participate.

1. How long have you and your significant other been together?

we have been together for 6 years this June..:) 

2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}

 we met at a mutual friends' house, we didn't speak to each other at all that night, just made eye contact and just knew that we were meant to be together..after a few days of hassling our friend, he finally called me and we went out on a date

3. If married, how long have you been married? If not, is this the guy you hope to marry? {do tell}

we just celebrated our 2 year wedding anniversary

4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?  If not, where would you like to get married? And will it be big or small?

i don't want to say our wedding was huge but it wasn't small either. we had about 150 guests at Maidu Community Center in Roseville

5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!

umm..:) he calls me baby, but i tend to like to spice things up and call him dear, honey, darling, sugar, my love, Ry, but mostly babe etc, etc.

6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.

I love how comfortable he makes me feel, he truly is my best friend. I love that he would do absolutely anything for his family. And last but not least, I love is new found commitment to our religion. 

7. Tell us how he proposed? Or your ideal proposal?

(for him) it was kind of a bummer because every year we would go to a near by park the day before 4th of July to watch the fireworks and it would just so happen that this year when my husband had planned to propose, they canceled the event! (of course me not knowing his plans didn't understand why he was so upset we couldn't see fireworks that night) so we went home, and before going to bed, he stopped me in the middle of our living room, got down on one knee and made an incredible speech of how I was his whole world and how I could only make it better if I became his wife. He to this day wishes it was an extravagant event that I could look back on as a sweet memory but what he doesn't realize is that I already do. That night changed my whole world just by the words he said, I keep them in my heart everyday. 

8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals?

He's a "whatever i ask for" kind of guy. 

9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?

I'm a without a doubt a "pop in a movie and relax" kind of gal, I love the quiet evening spent just the two of us.

10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?

I want to do anything and go everywhere with him. I have the best time when I'm with him.

11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day. 

our very first valentine's day we went around to every restaurant and they had an hour wait but we drove passed a Panda Express and there was NO ONE in there. (go figure) so we decided from that day on, every year we would eat there. It's actually pretty nice because we pretty much have the place to ourselves. (cheesy but I like it) 

12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?

(bashful) I am..I told him I want the cliche gifts, flowers, candy and a card. (he picks out the best cards and always gets me two..one from him and the other from our son. (I'm lucky and have TWO valentine's)

13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love. 

Be honest, forgiving, and appreciative. Do anything and everything to keep your LOVE alive.

 this has to be one of my favorite pictures of us. we had just got married two weeks prior ** this was taken at dinner for my love's birthday..I love how happy we look, we had the "newlywed glow." (not to mention he's wearing an LA hat so he's looking sexy as ever!) this is where it "all" began.
