Fun with my son (take two)

My last blog titled this, I had talked about how now that Nicolas is getting older he's more explorative and thanks to other blogs I follow and of course my beloved Pinterest I've gotten a few more activity ideas. Some great and others not-so-great (only because he's not age appropriate yet).

This activity is always a "go-to" activity when I need him preoccupied just for a moment.

Some cooking utensils + some platic containers = a good drummin' time

These next two activities I've seen both on other blogs as well as on Pinterest.

Pretty simple: pipe cleaners I found in the "Daily Deal" section at Target and a colander I already had. Kept him interested for a while once he figured out he could stick them through the holes.

Ever since I learned what a sensory bin was, I knew I wanted to attempt it. Most of them contain dyed rice at the bottom and that made me nervous, thinking if he spilled them they would literally be everywhere. Then I thought to use dry beans which would be less of a mess if any got out of the bin.

I didn't go with a "theme" with his bin because I wanted to try out the idea first before I went crazy OCD with it. I just grabbed random little toys I thought would be fun for him to trudge through the beans along with a cup to scoop and pour.

These next set of before and after pictures made me laugh while taking them because they need absolutely NO CAPTIONS!
Hope you got a good laugh like I did. At least he had fun!
