What the future looks like

When I was pregnant with Nicolas, I was so anxious to see his face. I only had two ultrasounds and that was OK with me but I'm meaning what his features would look like and who he would resemble most.

One day when I was rummaging through the many magazines that I would sign up for, because ya know, it was my first pregnancy and I had time to look at them. I found this...

I immediately tore out the page and kept it next to my bed. THIS IS WHAT (I thought) MY BABY WOULD LOOK LIKE! It helped ease my anxiousness about wanting to see his face because now I had an idea.

This picture now is taped inside Nicolas' baby book as a reminder of how much I desperately I wanted to meet him. I even went to the length of buying the onsie set  from Carter's, just so I could later compare how much my boy looked like this handsome fellow.

So OK, I know he looked really nothing like the ad. Well..just a little..

I laugh at myself for even trying to take the same position photo..

I think now of how I'm so excited to see what our girl will look like and how I don't have an example to go off of yet. I better hit the magazines...QUICK!
