When I was pregnant I remember one night rubbing my belly in bed and I told Ryan that one of the things I couldn't wait to do with my baby was smell her.
Yes I said smell her.
(He, of course didn't understand)
But after I had Nicolas (and even still to this day) I would smell him every chance I got.
I believe for a woman, having children is very animalistic. What I mean by that is, we're protective from the very beginning. We're nurturing. We would do anything for our babies. Fight to the death for our offspring. And just like a momma bear, the scent of my "cubs" are unique to my senses.
I love the smell of my children. I cannot get enough! (As strange as that may sound.)
for sure! it's crazy how my hubby doesn't notice it either. i heard about a study where they took a bunch of moms and let them smell a bunch of blankets that babies had beed in and they could identify the blanket that their baby was in. pretty neat!
ReplyDeleteInteresting! Never thought about that before.
