ONE month

Raegan,
Today you turned one month old. I cannot believe you've already reached this age. You were born with blue eyes and I'm happy to report that you still have them! You haven't lost any of your hair and I hope you don't beause it is beautiful! You make the oddest little grunting noises. Not very lady like at all. You hardly ever cry and when you do your face makes the cutest expression and you have the sweetest little cry. This month you shed your first tear and it literally broke my heart. We took you on your first "vacation" if you could even call it that. We went out of town for a few days but daddy still had to work so we hung out with another mommy and her daughter for the majority of the excursion. You are very spoiled. You know that all you have to do is whimper and grunt and I'll swoop you up. The second I do, the majority of the time you fall right asleep. You typically only wake up once during the night and I thank you so much for that. It's usually around 4am or so and then not again until about 7am. I put you down for the night usually close to 11pm. Your daddy and I love to give you keekees (kisses) and so does your brother. We always tell you how beautiful you are and just love to stare into your pretty clear blue eyes. You're starting to stay awake a little longer these days. Nothing big, usually only about 30 minutes after short feedings and then once you eat again you fall fast asleep. I'm not sure exactly how much you weigh because we haven't had your doctor appointment yet but you're still ity bity so I'm guessing right around 7 and a half pounds. Two monday's ago you weighed in at 7lbs 2oz so I'm pretty sure I'm close to spot on. You don't sleep well on your back. And you hate to be swaddled. When I lay you down I have you propped up a bit and a little on your side, I know that's not recommended but that's truley the only way I can get you to sleep. You sleep very loud. I am a somewhat light sleeper, and until I doze off, I can hear you breathe actually more like snore from 7 feet away. These past few days I've introduced a couple toys to you. I had you look at yourself in a mirror and you were so intrigued. Then I gave you this stuffed rope toy that has different feels of fabric on it. I know you can't actually partake in playing with it but you grabbed the handle of it and I must admit I felt a little proud in that moment. I'm sorry if I'm a little all over the place, I'll try to be more organized next month. I love you with all my heart baby girl and I can't wait to see how much you grow and learn in this next month to come.
