Built-in best friend

Nicolas and Raegan,

I just wanted to take a minute to let you know how extremely lucky the two of you are to have each other. You may not be in favor of one another in older years but let me tell you..you will be best friends forever!

Nicolas, Raegan may taddle tell on you from time to time. She may even want to put make up on you. Maybe even purposely break one of your favorite trucks just to spite you (although I couldn't imagine her doing so, she's a doll). None of that matters, please love her dearly. She is your sister and always will be. Aside from daddy, you will be the one man she turns to for help. She will give you the best advice when it comes to girls. She will be your biggest fan (right along with mom and dad). She will stick up for you and fight for you not to get in trouble if she knows you are being honest and true. She will be your partner in crime when you two feel like mom and dad are against you. She will be the closest person to you in the world so make friends early on. She will love you through and through so please love her back, always.

Raegan, Nicolas believe it or not, may not always be your favorite person. Perhaps he tells daddy on you for having a boyfriend. Or maybe he throws bugs at you. Possibly pull your hair and think it's funny to pass gas in front of you. (Again, I don't imagine this would happen because I have the sweetest boy in the world!) For you I'll say the same as I did your brother, love him always. Nicolas will rescue you whenever you need it. He will protect you from harm. He'll be a continuous shoulder for you to cry on if you ever get a broken heart. You will be the only girl he will show his "gentle" side to. He'll rely on you to teach him anything mom and dad can't. He'll support you no matter what. Just remember, he is your other half. He's your brother and love him like there's no tomorrow. He will love you through and through so please love him back, always.

Although it was not planned to have you two so close in age, we couldn't be happier things came out this way. You may not be friends right away but be patient because it will happen. Keep in mind what I said. There may be times (a lot of times) where feelings are hurt and nerves are shot, but please remember that the love and bond you share is something that is truly special. There is only one Nicolas and only one Raegan so cherish each other always.
