Like clockwork, when we pull in the driveway, Nicolas yells "Check the mail!!!"
We have a free standing mailbox so I lift him up and he opens it with pure excitement.
He loves grabbing all the papers and envelopes and carrying them to the house.
Most of the time he drops it before making it to the door but it's cute that he wants to help.
One time (I really wish I caught it on camera or video) he pulled the mail out and replaced it with his mini dinosaur. He would not take it out. So we left it.
The next day, the dino was there with the mail delivered behind it.
I can only imagine what our mailman thought.
Checking the mail has become part of our evening routine.
Now I get just as excited as he does.
